Milano Musica
The Milano Musica Festival of contemporary music, organised in partnership with Teatro alla Scala, has become a great European tradition for the city.
Over the years the Festival’s articulated programmes have included musical works rarely chosen by theatres and concert societies, welcoming the most innovative European musical trends with performances by international artists. Since 1990, the Festival has welcomed artists such as Boulez, Berio, Cage, Castiglioni, Dufourt, Nono, Lachenmann, Ligeti, Kurtág and Takemitsu, alternating individual concerts with contemporary music pathways, giving audiences the chance to listen to new compositions with no thematic constraints.
