Located at the Castello Sforzesco, Milan’s Museum of Musical Instruments offers a rich, diverse collection of instruments dating from the 15th century to the 20th century. The book catalogues all the instruments on display at the museum: stringed, wind and plucked instruments, machinery from the Studio di Fonologia Musicale, harps, kit and pocket violins, keyboards, traditional instruments and an important collection of 17th and 18th century objects donated by the Monzino family.
