Open to the public from 30th October 2020 to 18th July 2021 at Rome’s Palazzo delle Esposizioni, the 17th edition of the Quadriennale d’arte – entitled FUORI – is curated by Sarah Cosulich and Stefano Collicelli Cagol.

Held in Rome since 1931, the historic event is intended to renew the image of contemporary Italian art at international level. Its title, FUORI (“Out”), reflects the viewpoint of the curators, who have selected 43 artists to chart alternative styles and models from the past fifty years in Italy, in a close comparison with the history of the exhibition, the palazzo that hosts it and the city of Rome.

Intesa Sanpaolo, main exhibition partner, was also involved in preparations for the event, sponsoring the Q-Rated project in 2018-2019 to train young talents, and the Q-International project supporting Italian art internationally. It has enabled 568 young Italian artists and curators to take part in 6 multi-disciplinary, travelling workshops exploring the most recent developments in contemporary art in Italy.
FUORI is a direct expression of the educational project, promoting the efforts of students who took part in the workshops by involving ten young artists and a selection of trainee curators in the exhibition.
