Sede di via M. Stabile

Intesa Sanpaolo

One of the most important examples of contemporary architecture in Palermo, the building was designed by the famous BBPR practice. In the bank’s public room, renovated by Michele De Lucchi, there are dynamic additions by Renato Guttuso: a large scene of fishermen on the back window and a “grand staircase”, an undulating sinusoidal structure in glazed terracotta and gold leaf recalling a Sicilian landscape, a visionary, colour-filled interpretation in such an abstract financial space.
