Palazzo Tornabuoni Corsi

Intesa Sanpaolo

Designed by architect Giorgio Grassi as a miniature city set around a spacious central green area, this extensive complex consists of six buildings occupying a total of 40,000 m2 of office space, including a branch of the bank, warehouses, a private underground carpark and an auditorium. The design of the building, expressed in linear geometrical forms, captures examples of both the ancient and modern; it provides historical continuity through a series of ideas and models drawn from Florence’s building traditions but integrated with a vast architectural heritage.
