Palazzo Giordano – Apostoli
Intesa Sanpaolo
Built in 1878, Palazzo Giordano stands on Sassari’s Piazza d’Italia. This imposing three-storey building was designed in the neogothic style. Covered in trachyte, the ground floor is separated by a string course from the two plaster-covered upper floors, with mullioned windows on the first floor and single-light trefoils on the second. The rooms are embellished with friezes, stuccowork and frescoes. Sumptuous paintings hang in the Yellow Room, where there is a mosaic of a dancer on the floor. Also worthy of note is the main staircase, with its ornamentation and decoration.
